Battlefield 1942 free on Origin to celebrate 10 year anniversary
Electronic Arts has made classic FPS Battlefield 1942 free as a “thank you” to Battlefield fans. The gift is being offered “in celebration of the ten year anniversary of the Battlefield series and Battlefield 3 Premium surpassing 2 million members worldwide.”
Of course, it’s also a clever ploy to get more people to try Origin, EA’s PC gaming client.
You can download the game here.
“When we launched Battlefield 1942 ten years ago, we had lofty ambitions to create a first-person shooter that would push the boundaries of innovation, creativity and design. We evolved the FPS gameplay formula by introducing the world to all-out warfare via land, air and sea,” DICE VP Karl Magnus Troedsson said in a release. “We wanted to thank our fans who have supported us throughout the years by restoring Battlefield 1942 for a digital re-release and give everyone a chance to play the game that started it all.”

The Elder Scrolls Online
A game franchise we have all come to love the elder scrolls series, with the likes of Oblivion and the newest title Skyrim what would be more anticipated than a elder scrolls game on-line. I personally don’t know how this could work as the whole point of the elder scrolls game is deep single player with lots of character plots and choices to change the world as we know it. This might be what the MMO market needs after year of stagnation from the likes of (Flame proof jacket equipped) world of warcraft, EVE online and star wars.
There has been a reported 250 people working on the game and it has been in development for around five years. The team that is working on the title has quite a big background working on titles such as Halo, Everquest and wolfenstein.
The story line is set a millennium before the events of skyrim and Tamriel is gripped by cival war. The three main factions are fighting over the right to the imperial throne. (Sounds like the tv show Game of Thrones) You and thousands of other players will join the fight by picking a side and fighting to become ruler of
How old is your hardware?
I have always been fascinated with computer hardware. The feeling you get when struggling for days trying to get a better frame rate, smoother game play or better visuals is tedious but when you upgrade to a new graphics card for example and you are able to play everything in full without worrying about it; its fantastic. Some people are not so willing to upgrade, this may be due to their fanatical situation or that they are not bothered about playing the game to its full potential. New technology can do a lot for our systems whether it be betting better visual graphics, being able to run more programs at the same time to increase efficiency or to even save us money by using a more efficient power supply unit. There has been a lot of good hardware released over the past decade. The one i remember the most is defiantly the 8800 GT. I remember purchasing this card and I was able to play every game i wanted with stupidly high frames per second.
As steam hosts a wide variety of games and
Worst type of gamers
There are many types of gamers out there in the world. We have all played with a wide array of players, some we get along with and some we don’t.
The Damsel
We have all played with someone we would call “The Damsel.” They are always needing to heal, bandage, wait for a minute, get back stamina, get ammo. They seem to die after every corner whether they run in all guns blazing or sit back and try to snipe. They will all ways die and have no benefit for your team apart from causing a distraction.

The Lone Wolf
The lone wolf is one of them people on your team that really gets
Battlefield 3 Close Quarters
Its that time again. Battlefield 3 DLC is coming out next month (June) and its looking epic. This DLC brings a new face to battlefield 3. It is a lot more focused on close combat, shotguns, sub machine guns and lots of destruction. This is a new area I am glad that Battlefield 3 has entered into as watching all them building getting blown up and changing the active game environment.
Battlefield 3: close quarters a themed expansion pack brining the team play of Battlefield 3 to tight indoor environments. The frantic close quarters infantry combat is amplified by unprecedented high definition destruction, new ways to play, more weapons and added persistence.
